As always I've kept my Christmas shopping last minute. And if I'm honest, I actually hadn't contemplated such things until composing this post. It's seemingly last minute,  as most of you previously curated such lists weeks ago. Every year I promise myself to be better and to be more organised, but alas here we are yet again, same spiel, same pathetic excuses.

So shall we begin with the lads? My edit is to the right, all images, as always are clickable.

When it comes to guys, I've always had a hard time trying to find an ideal gift. Whether it was for a partner, friend or family member I've always struggled. Sartorially, males have it infinitely easier than what females do. Choices aren't exactly limited but the usual pants and a shirt or tee of some form is widely accepted for any type of occasion. I guess there is a preconceived notion that males are more "simple" than females.

When we think of stereotypical gifts for men, we immediately think of socks or jocks. I know I do. This year I want to be more adventurous. Less practical and more fun and frivolous. Like this mini walkie talkie set. Necessary? Hell no. Will he irritate the f*** out of you, more than likely. But in the spirit of Christmas, why not embrace the larrikin and child within? Of course you don't have to be unorthodox. Grooming sets or skincare gift boxes work a treat too. So do hats like this minimal baseball cap or this Etudes black number.

What about you? What have you been eying off? Personally I'm still feeling that walkie talkie.

  1. Ugh, guys are such a pain to buy gifts for, haha! I always struggle with my boyfriend even though I know him quite well - he always just says that he doesn't want anything - not helpful! Also, we're doing Secret Santa at the office this year and I was unlucky enough to pick a guy I know absolutely nothing about... So this little gift guide is definitely helpful, although I need to make sure I don't spend over ten pounds as that's the limit. Lovely picks here, babe! Thank you for sharing. :) xoxo <3

  6. I always like gift guides for guys as I agree, they are so difficult to buy for! I try to bookmark things through the year that I stumble across that might work for hubby. It's interesting, I have no problem buying the boys gifts, I wonder when it is they suddenly turn into difficult to buy for men? haha!

Hope you had a great weekend and you shopped up a storm in the sales! :)

  23. Men, hard to live with, hard to buy for....I find these lists so challenging because it generalizes an entire gender which I find so suffocating..Men are so different, as are women. One guy may want you to write him a love letter, another a trip to the Maldives...It is so person dependent...

  27. These are great ideas! I totally agree that finding gifts for guys is the most complicated job ever, lol. My husband has its birthday this week, so I have to come up with two different gifts this month:) I am thinking about Fitbit bracelet that you suggested; it might be helpful for his workouts. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

  28. I love a pea coat on a guy so that camel is a yes please! At least you got to this gift guide so good job gurl. I thought I'd do it but never got to it. Not too late though cos I've seen tons of guides posted just this week. I'm going to check out uncommon gifts, that site seems to have a lot of unique items. Thanks for this share.
