This City Limits fashion editorial could easily be mistaken for the assumption that this was a vintage photoshoot dating back the chintzy 80’s. It is deliciously gaudy and daringly meretricious. And while fashion is cyclical after all, the brilliantly deceiving styling could easily fool the best of us.
Grace Mahary is loudly dressed in standout ostentatious pieces from the likes of Isabel Marant, Moschino, Givenchy and Chanel to name a few. In this editorial we are hitting downtown construction zones in the city limits, all blinged out in impressive and imposing gold hardware. In what I interpret as an homage to the eighties, big hair, heels and big on attitude, this line up of head turning fashions does make one more partial to said decade. One that is not synonymous with resplendent sartorial style, but rather a kind that we associate with being unpalatable. This editorial makes the eighties cool again. Especially in its concrete jungle setting. Such surroundings and locations make this for the quintessential street style look book and certainly the kind I aspire for my own endeavours.
On a side note, a quick shout out and thank you to Diana of Double-Ganger for nominating me for three awards; the Appreciation award, Premio Colors and the Sunshine award. And also to Babi of Vogue Buster for the Leibster award. Definitely feeling all the love guys, thank you kindly.
