If you recall from my previous outfit post (refresh your memory here) I was rather disappointed in the jacket I received from NewChic. Along with this jacket I also received this striped dress; a piece that I have been loving sick. While I have a questionable relationship/obsession with stripes and may or may not be the most bias on the matter, I seriously adore this dress. The quality is fabulous, far exceeding my expectations. It’s a sleek, flattering cut on a design that generally is anything but. And comfort levels are clearly obvious, as they do with any kind of t-shirt style dress.

Also those Valentino lovelies were a gift I gave to myself after hitting that milestone birthday back in January. Unbelievably I am yet to take these lovers out and about, despite carting them with me on my birthday sojourn to the USA. So far I’ve limited myself to admiring them from afar, perched atop a white shelf, fancifully on display. I’m far too nervous to do much more, afraid I’ll horribly deface them with my clumsiness as I am overly prone to doing. Ridiculously irrational right? This used to be a quirk of mine when I was younger. I’d splurge on designer pieces (that literally broke the bank) only to have them lay dormant in my closet. Pieces like this Chloe dress and tank I managed to acquire during those coveted Phoebe Philo days. Such a sartorial atrocity to commit and yet I thought I’d outgrown such nonsense but alas, astonishingly here we are. Their maiden voyage, none other than this outfit post.
