It’s a simple and not so sweet ensemble today featuring the exposed shoulder trend. One that is resplendently in black. The kind that wonderfully embraces my inner wild child. And all the while frolicking amongst some exceptionally dazzling florals in bloom the other week. Though it’s not awfully difficult embodying my inner Stevie Nicks with this off the shoulder number from New Chic. To state the obvious, it’s bold, black and effortless and a piece that has fast become one of my favourite sartorial pieces to date. And considering that it is priced well under a mere AU$15, this top truly is such a magnificent buy. Especially taking into account the overall fit, which honestly surpassed all my expectations.
In truth, I am actually quite the fan of the exposed shoulder trend. Mind you, this is the only thing I am looking forward to about summer and can not wait to incorporate this style more and more on a daily basis over the next few weeks. Especially after having made several impulse purchases lately. I do wonder, can one actually have too many cold shoulder pieces? Another new item c/o New Chic that has captivated my heart is that charming white shoulder bag. While I’m not a major supporter of fashion “dupes”, this shoulder bag clearly inspired by the infamous Drew version was one I decided to break the rules on. More so for that charmingly ethnic and bohemian type print. Oh and its decadent gold chain because I’m such a sucker for anything gold.
