valentines trip away? romantic settings to consider

We are now officially into the month of love. Valentine’s day is a mere few days away and it often means that there is a sudden panic of what to do to celebrate our love and the romantic settings for those special people in our lives. Flowers are great, chocolates can be a given, and a card is quite important. But some couples use the big V day as a chance to get away together just them two.

Work can be stressful, families with young children can feel the pressure, and often we can take our partners for granted even when we don’t mean to. So there is nothing more deserving than taking a night or three away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and spending some quality time together in romantic settings. Which got me thinking about those perfect romantic settings and locations and experiences you can enjoy. I thought I would share with you some of the best romantic settings to consider if you can get away together.

A ROMANTIC VISIT TO PARIS

Paris is the city of love and the ultimate city for romantic settings, so why not go there for a break away this Valentine’s day? There are plenty of things to see and do. You could take a trip up the famous Eiffel Tower. You can now even eat up there and the views can be spectacular. Maybe you want to take a look in the famous Louvre, or sample some of the Parisian coffee culture with the amazing cafes on offer. There is so much to do that you can get all caught up in the romance. But if you are still a youngster at heart, the Disneyland Paris is close by.

GOING TO SEE THE LIGHT SHOW IN THE SKY

Perhaps you like the idea of seeing something that could be on many people’s bucket lists. The Northern Lights are an amazing spectacle in the sky that can only be seen in certain locations in the world. However, if this is something you are considering then it would be best to speak to the Northern Lights specialists to make sure that you get the best experience. In this sort of place, you can camp out in a dome, or enjoy wonderful snowy scenery. It could certainly be romantic.

A GONDOLA RIDE IN VENICE

Maybe you want to head to one of the other locations famed for its romantic settings, that would be Venice in Italy. Taking a gondola ride and enjoying a slower pace in life could be the ideal way to spend some time with your loved ones. Not to mention enjoying some authentic Italian food. Pasta and pizza are the foods of love.

A BEACH HOLIDAY SOMEWHERE HOT

Maybe you like the idea of a beach holiday somewhere hot. Enjoying some time out and getting a sun tan could be the ideal tonic for the winter blues. This may mean heading away for a little longer than a few nights, but the chance of some sun, sea and sand is not to be passed up. You can always make a warm beach getaway fun and enjoyable by staying in some of the most luxurious resorts that are dotted all over the globe.

AN ESCAPE CLOSER TO HOME

Not everyone has the luxury of time or even the funds to just book somewhere extravagant, and romance, fate all, is what you make of it. So why not consider something a little closer to home. It could be a local hotel, or staying in the next town or village in a cute B&B. There are loads of things you could do. Enjoy a cheeky drink in the local pub, have a nice meal somewhere new, or a simple stroll hand in hand in new surroundings could be just the ticket to reignite the passion on Valentine’s day.

TURNING UP AT THE AIRPORT FOR SPONTANEOUS ADVENTURES

Finally, there is nothing more exciting than just packing a case or bag and heading to the airport with no real clue where you might end up. Booking seats there and then for the next available flight, deciding on your accomodation whilst checking in and walking through airport security. It can certainly be one big adventure. You also have the opportunity of of surprising your partner by arranging all the details ahead of time and not telling them until you arrive at the airport. Very romantic.

I hope that this has offered up some inspiration you for some of all of the romantic settings and getaways you could consider this Valentine’s day.
