When you first start searching for a new home, you’re likely to start browsing the housing market. This is where you can find all of the properties that are on offer in the area you’re interested in living. LAND + PROPERTY PACKAGES
First things first, you’re going to need to secure some land. Bear in mind that land in major cities is going to come at a higher price per square metre, while land a little further out will prove cheaper. You may be pushed for space if you opt for a major city, as there’s not quite as much of the land will already be taken and inhabited. You can always keep an eye out for buildings due to be demolished and enquire about land in these instances. But remember that if you don’t mind living a little further out, you’ll have more luck and it will come with a much lower price tag. VERIFYING THE FLOOR PLAN
Once you’ve got your land and know how much space you have to work with, the home and land builders will be able to start drawing up a floor plan. This is essentially a scale diagram of the rooms on each story of your build. Once you’re happy with the plans, an architect will then complete the blueprint, which contractors will then be able to bring to life.
