It’s been a tough year for a lot of people as the pandemic has ravaged the world, forcing most to live life a little differently at best. And at worse, forcing people to look for different jobs as businesses make large scale redundancies. But it doesn’t mean you have to totally put your life on hold for these hurdles. There are still things and activities to ride out any pandemic you can do. You might not be able to see your friends and family as much as you used to, but you can pass time effectively. Everyone is different and enjoys different things, but if you’re struggling during the second wave of coronavirus maybe it’s time for a new hobby and what better way than these activities to ride out any pandemic! Good luck.
COOKING
Making time for cooking before wasn’t always easy. But if you’re working from home, without the issues of having to commute one way and the other, you might have more time to try something new. There are some wonderful ingredients out there which you can try, or different types of food completely like Gutsy Ferments. It can be a tough process, especially if you’re just starting out and need the equipment and ingredients but it is certainly one of those things that gets easier the more you do it. Try to have a little patience at the beginning, start small and easy and then go from there. There’s an immense sense of satisfaction while also pleasing your family with brilliant food.
GAMING
It’s a great way to pass the time and hone your reflexes. Gaming is still looked down on by some, but it’s just the same as watching the TV. It enables you to interact with some stellar stories and pass the time with a smile on your face. It also allows you to socialise. If your friends like gaming too, you can link up remotely and play together. It’s a great way to catch up with friends and family without actually seeing them, quite pertinent and useful in today’s environment. Just make sure you know what kinds of consoles your friends have before you go out and buy one and remember the new consoles are launching right around the corner.
EXERCISE
This works wonderfully when looking for activities to ride out any pandemic or as a hobby because it ties in well with also a need to keep fit and get some exercise, especially when you’re spending a lot of time in the house. Exercise itself doesn’t need to be the hobby either. The hobby itself can be something like running, cycling, swimming, etc. Team sports are a great way of keeping fit too but unfortunately it’s one of those things that at the moment is probably not allowed. Find something you enjoy and start to pursue it and you’ll notice that you’ll feel better all around. It’s especially effective if you find something that your friends or family are into because it just makes it so much easier if you’re doing it with other people. It means you get more motivation and a higher sense of achievement when you hit your goals.
